Course Summary
***An initial payment of £75 will allow you to access the online theory.
A final payment of £100 will be required one week prior your practical session. Course total cost £175***
Certification will only be provided upon completion of both theory and practical.
This course is an accredited fast track course. This includes theory work to be carried out at home, one in salon practical session and case studies to be submitted to complete your portfolio. Practical session will run from 9:30am - 4:30 pm, with a 30minute lunch break.
You will cover the following:
Practical
-Work area set up
-Tools and products
-Consultation
-Nail preparation
-Nail shaping - square, squoval, rounded and almond.
-Application of gel colour
-Application of french style finish
-Removal of gel products
-Nail art, swirls, double french, cuffs, animal print.
-Aftercare
Theory
-Core knowledge (chemical knowledge, consultations, hygiene, contra-indications, tools plus much more)
-Health and Safety
-Gel Polish
-Troubleshooting
-Aftercare
Case Studies to be completed will include:
3 x gel polish case studies
3 x french gel polish case studies
2 x gel polish removal and buff finish
Assignments
There are five written assignments within this course. These need to be completed using word or similar. If you require additional support, please contact your tutor directly.
Important Information
You will be required to submit case studies. Case studies will need to be completed on a person. It is essential you have the following to complete the course:
-A kit to complete the course (kit list can be sent across if required)
-Access to models for case studies ( this can not be completed on practice hands or your own hands)
-Access to a laptop/mobile/internet and camera/video device.
A maximum of 4 students will be in the classroom sessions. Models may be required.
* Kit options can be purchased from NEA, please select with or without kit when purchasing the course. * Alternatively a kit list will be provided and students can select which products they prefer.
When students are attending in person, full use of all salon equipment is available at these sessions only.
